Thoughts For Thursday

Happy Thursday.  I am getting excited for the upcoming weekend for two reasons.  1) We have no real plans which always excites me 2) Super Bowl Sunday.  I am so proud of the Panthers and can't wait to watch them play while I dominate some yummy food.   If I can get my act together I want to clean out and organize our garage I have been on a roll inside our house cleaning out and want to do the same in the garage.  It feels good to organize and get rid of unnecessary items.

This Flamingo Suit, is quite possibly the most adorable thing ever (well besides the cute baby model wearing it).  The matching purse of course had to happen too.

Someone told me about this girl's tote and I tried to find it at Target for Frances but our store didn't have it in stock.  I did find it online though, reminds me of Mara Hoffman.

I have been loving my Bon Appetite Food Lovers Cleanse Cookbook so much.  I am not following the cleanse per se but just incorporating many of the recipes into our weekly meals.  I loved this Broccoli Quinoa Salad that I made for my lunches this week.

I am working with Alex Kaehler again (she helped decorate our dining room) to spruce up our den.  I am not doing a total overhaul but making some changes.  Many of you have asked about our new rug you have seen in instagram pictures.  It is the antelope rug from Ballard Designs.  I have long admired the Stark version of this rug so when I saw the Ballard Designs one and I had a 20% off coupon it was a done deal.  I LOVE the rug.  Only issue so far is it does shed some which I hope will get better as time goes on.  We are hoping to move the rug that was in our den into our bedroom.

This is a room I have saved for inspiration for our den.

This Free People Dress was one of my favorites from last year so when I saw it was out in two new colors, I knew I needed another one.  I had the red version from last year and wore it often.  I love the loose style and embroidery detail.  For those curious about sizing it does run on the large side.  I have a size small because I was worried XS would be too short.

I am trying to find a few new recipes to try out for The Super Bowl Sunday. These kettle chip crusted poppers are top on my list to try.

How adorable is this gift box my friend Karina at Waffles and Honey put together for Valentine's Day??  You can choose from 3 different necklace colors: Turquoise, Labradorite or Crystal Quartz.  They all come packaged like this one and would make such a special gift to send to someone. They also come with a handwritten note and are $79.

I came across this picture on Facebook from 4 years ago.  I have a love hate relationship with the Facebook flashback photos, I love to see them but they make me sad how fast time is flying by.  Sterling was such a little nugget here, hard to believe he is turning 6 in 12 days.

A few new lip colors I am loving:

I just ordered this BB Dakota white off shoulder dress for the Summer.  I just can't get enough of the off shoulder look and I always love a white dress.  It is a fun backdrop for jewelry and accessories. I hope the quality is good as sometimes BB Dakota is hit or miss.  I will report back!

Have a great Thursday.

Veggie Mexican Pizzas

Little secret I love Taco Bell.  It is one of my guilty pleasures.  I don't eat it often maybe 1-2 times a year.  It always seems like such a good idea and then I feel like crap after I eat it so I try to avoid it.  Their Mexican Pizza though it's the stuff dreams are made of.  Not gonna lie I also love the bean burrito, 7 layer burrito, crunch wrap, soft taco, nachos bel grande, cinnamon twists-  the list goes on and on.   I had a craving for one of their Mexican pizzas and decided why not try and make my own.  I left the meat out but you could easily add it instead of one of the types of beans or addition to them.  I actually didn't miss the meat as much as I thought I would.  These are still pretty legit minus the meat.  The key to the crispy shell is cooking them first in a skillet then in the oven.
These would make a great nibble for Super Bowl Sunday too just slice into triangles or squares and serve on a platter:)
Enjoy!

- Flour torilla shells
- refried beans with green chiles
- refried black beans with lime juice
- shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- diced green onions
- diced tomatoes
- sliced black olives
- sliced avocado
- red enchilada or taco sauce (I like the Frontera brand in a bag)

Spray a skillet with non-stick spray and heat to medium heat.  Take one flour shell and spread with refried beans with green chiles and then sprinkle with cheese.  Add another shell on top and place in skillet.  Cook a few minutes on each side until shell starts to get crispy and slightly browned.  Remove from skillet.  Spread a thin layer of refried back beans on top.  Then drizzle with red enchilada sauce and top with more cheese.  Place on a baking sheet in oven at 350 degrees and cook until cheese is bubbly.  Remove and add diced tomatoes, green onions, olives, avocado and another drizzle of enchilada sauce!  I also added some pickled jalapeƱos to ours before serving.

Resort Love

We finally have booked our trip for this Summer!!  Several of you asked where we decided to go and we have decided to go back to St Maarten.  We researched so many places and even had a travel agent help us some but each place was missing something we wanted or was way too expensive.  Then one night we were like why not St Maarten again??  If it ain't broke don't fix.  It had everything we wanted : it is a short and direct flight (I hate to fly so I always prefer direct) personal infinity pool, shared living space with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a kitchen, it is on the water,  and plus the price was right.   So we head back in the end of June and I cold not be more excited!   There were so many parts of the island we didn't get to explore last year so I can't wait to see more.  If any of you have been I would love suggestions.
It definitely has me thinking about Resort wear. I also had a reader who is going on vacation in March and wanted some Beach suggestions.  There are so many beautiful beachy finds right now and below are a few things on my wish list.

I always love white in the Summer and you all know I love a good off shoulder dress:)

I love this classic one piece.  I am always a fan of black swimsuits and strapless so this one is a winner.

I love the pattern on this maxi.  I also love the loose flowy style.

I bought this one piece last year and I can't say enough great things about it.  It is super flattering and I like the slight edge.   It has with the sides cut out but it doesn't show too much skin.

I am so glad they came back out with this cover-up this year.   It also comes in coral.
Now don't get me wrong I love my Maryisa Swimsuits but this one looks identical for a fraction of the price.

I am loving the bright blue colors on this one piece.

I love the back detail on this caftan and it is only $32!

Love this beach tote.
The colors in this maxi dress are beyond stunning.

I love a white blouse.  This one would be perfect paired with jean short cut-offs and a cool necklace.

I love bright colored beaded necklaces to toss on over a white tee shirt or cover-up.  This one is only $45 but it looks like so many more expensive versions I have seen.

I own this and love it.  Such a great purse.  I have the tan color but it also comes in black and coral.  You can carry it as a clutch or it has a strap to be a cross body bag as well.

I am so obsessed with this swimsuit.  The colors are gorgeous and I love the strapless style, it looks like it would be really flattering on.

Pineapples + Embroidery + under $80 = yes

I have recently become a fan of this sunglasses line and best part almost all of the sunglasses are under $70.  The quality is great too.  I recently ordered a pair and was surprised how nice they were. I love this aviator style.
The cutest woven clutch and it is only $38.  I saw this in person at Nordstrom in Charlotte and really liked it, such a cool pattern and it was a nice large size.

Twine and Twig just came out with some fabulous new shell necklaces that I am so excited about for the Summer.

Scenes From Our Weekend + Brown Box Club Birthday and Giveaway!

Happy 1st day of February!  Is it me or did January just fly by??

Wednesday we had an afternoon playdate to celebrate Sterling's friend Carson's birthday.  How cute are all the kids?

I had lunch at Leon's on Friday and always forget how much I love that place.  If you are visiting from out of town I highly recommend it.  I love the Siam salad, fried brussels sprouts, avocado toast and fried chicken sandwich.

Bright and festive for taco night.

Friday Matt and had a date night and tried out Cure, a new restaurant on James Island.
I am wearing :

I have to say the service was so slow, it took us forever to get drinks and our food, but sometimes that is an issue with a new restaurant.  We had the tuna tartare, oyster shoots, and I had tomato pie for my meal.  Everything was very good. I am not going to say it was the best meal I have ever had but it was solid.

Saturday Matt took Sterling to the boat show.  They both had a fun time picking out our next dream boat:)  Sterling loved having his face painted.

Frances has been into stealing my lipstick these days.  I clearly need to start hiding it. I do appreciate the fact that she color coordinates it with her outfits.

Sunday I took the kids to church.  Frances Moon's Mini Boden dress that I blogged about last week came and it is even cuter in person! It also comes in this tee version too.

Sterling caught the stomach bug Sunday, I am praying no one else gets it.  I was in my pjs early.  How cute are these llama pjs??  They are tee shirt soft and they come in a few other prints too but I have a thing for llamas:)

You might remember me blogging about the Brown Box Club and how much I love it last year, you can read my original post  HERE.

Well this month marks their 1st Birthday!!  If you are not familiar with the Brown Box Club it is shopping made easy.  You fill out a form with brands you like, your style, and what price range you like to spend and Toni, Finicky Filly's personal shopper will put together a box just for you.   She will style outfits paired with jewelry and accessories to make things easy for you! They mail it to you and it is a free service if you keep anything from the box.  You are not obligated to buy anything however if you decide not to keep anything you are charged $18 just to cover shipping and handling.  If you purchase anything at all though that fee is waived.  Finicky Filly carries so many of my favorite brands like Mara Hoffman, Joie, Vince, Tory Burch, Julie Vos, T Marie, Twine and Twig, Rebecca Taylor and the list could go on and on.  As a busy mom I love this service.   I can try on the clothes at home at my leisure!   You can have your box delivered as often as you want.  I have mine come every other month but my mom just does hers twice a year.  Totally up to you!

In honor of the Brown Box Club's first birthday I am teaming up with Finicky Filly for a $150 giveaway to be used towards any purchase in your Brown Box.  If you follow me on instagram @snoopnatty I will be running the contest later today.  It is open to all new sign ups for the Brown Box Club which you can do HERE.  Make sure to use referral code DESIGNERBAGSDIRTYDIAPERS150 on the style questionnaire to be entered.
